Sugar gliders help anyone!?

We have a new pet store in town and hopefully I will get a job there (I'm in high school) and the owner breeds sugar gliders! Il love them and have researched getting one in the past. I am concerned though that I have a atiel and take care of my sisters guinea pigsand I don't want them to not get along. My bird is out all the time. I also know generally its best to get 2 but if I'm home and can have it out almost every day from like 5 to 10pm plus more on weekends, not just in a pouch but out and playing? Gosh, idk, I really only want one but I want to do what's best.
