Another sugar glider question?

Im getting one soon, and i know pretty much all there is to know, and i was just wondering that if i only got one would he get depressed and die very quickly? Because im going to spent ALL my time with him training him and playing with him. But i read that if they dont have another one with them they will get depressed and die. If they do, how long does it take? Because soon after im getting another one. Just not right away. But no more then a year, highly doubt I wold wait that long though. So around 4-8 months? Thank you.
